KUIU’s Brendan Burns takes us on a journey to South America. Destination: The Andes. Objective: To hunt red stag.
Meeting up with Argentina Outfitters, they traveled on horseback to The Andes, riding in terrain still covered with volcanic ash from an eruption 4 years ago. The weather started out great, but as it turned, with rain, fog, and sometime wind becoming prevalent, Brendan and his group faced some tough challenges ahead of them. Traversing basins and ridges, their search took them above the timberline to look for the game.
Sometimes the memory of a hunt is not so much about the trophy itself. In Brendan’s adventures in The Andes, it was about the different cultures bridged, new friendships gained, new experiences acquired, and the thirst for more.
