There are moments in life that, for better or worse, we remember forever. They stick with us. They shape us. They change us. This is especially true for hunters. While every day in the woods or in the stand can be meaningful and even magical, there are certain experiences that stand out among the rest, experiences that feel surreal and transcendent. In These Abiding Gifts, we get to see a father and son, KUIU founder Jason Hairston and his father Mike, make this sort of memory for themselves. Upon a special trip to the majestic Mackenzie Mountains in the Yukon Territories, these men look to harvest a moose together with traditional longbows. As we watch these two hunt and interact together, sharing skills, passions and a mutual love and respect for both hunting and one another, we too get to experience something special, stunning and, indeed, unforgettable.
