Thousands Of Geese Migrating In Arizona | Waterfowl
About Video
Uploaded on 7 June, 2011
The massive migration of waterfowl across the world is one of natures mysterious wonders. Thousands upon thousands of waterfowl migrate across vast continents annually to get to their preferred vacation destinations. These flocks of waterfowl can travel thousands of miles to get to their destination, only to fly all the way back at the start of the next season.
Geese use rivers, mountains, and other terrain to memorize their migration path and this information is taught to the younger geese and their peers. This is passed down from generation to generation among thousands of birds. This passing of navigation information among the flocks of waterfowl leads to invisible road ways in the skies that only the birds themselves can see and navigate. These road ways come with the usually rest stops, flocks of birds are known to use the same fields or ponds to rest year after year along their journey.
