Luring your game to an area with food is a tactic dating back before history itself. This hunter does a good job of luring this whitetail to his location with the bating tactic. The deer seems to think he has stumbled across what seems to good to be true and starts to look around as if he knows something is about to go down. As always greed gets the better of the animal and he goes in to feed on the grub. This puts the buck in a perfect position for a bow hunter. The deer puts his head down to feed, this does two things. First it ensures the deer is not gong to move because it is focused on eating. Second it allows the hunter to land a nice hit just behind the shoulder blade which is the optimal location to land a arrow. Allowing the vitals to be hit ensures the animal does not get far and is much more easier on the animal as it does not survive long. The hunter lands a perfect shot and takes the deer not far from the bait spot.
