Sons of the Hunt presents ‘Selection’.
As outdoorsmen and women, it’s important for us not to let the act of the harvest overshadow the ripple effect it will have on the surrounding environment. In an overpopulated area, like the one I am hunting in this clip, one less doe consuming vegetation will allow for less intraspecific competition between deer. In this specific overpopulated area, the surviving members of the herd will be more apt to thrive…as will the landowner’s shrubs. The same applies to my cast iron pan. – Mark Misura

We can all learn something about management when we really look at the doe population that exist. Work to be done and maybe even less bucks need to be shot.
