This is ReCreate, a short film about the life and stories around the taxidermy by Nick Peretti. Many people think of taxidermy as a product destined to become glamoured by santa hats and Marlboro smoke in the local saloon. But in reality their is a story behind each and every piece, and that story should be heard. As hunters, it’s the greatest means by which to display and respect that animal and its life. I entirely self filmed the process to portray the artistic and skillful side of taxidermy that many fail to realize, and to remove the stereotype that mounted heads are for museums and bars.
