In his debut film, James Jacobs describes what fuels his passion for hunting in one word – ‘Anticipation’. It is the anticipation of reward – the hunting, killing, cleaning, cooking, and eating clean, organic protein. It is helping with conservation and the anticipation of reaping its benefits later.
Then, there is the anticipation of experiences. Being out in the woods, listening to the snap of a twig, hearing a grunt or a gobble, and the rattling of antlers are sounds that make the heart beat faster. The anticipation of observing nature and its animals, and being with nature create memories that last a lifetime.
To James Jacobs, the word anticipation has a much deeper meaning for him when it comes to what drives him to hunt.
