In Dropped Series, there are many moments that hit the cutting room floor, from both behind and in front of the cameras. In this clip, Executive Producer Jason Brown and Field Producer Jamieson Crast attempt to cross a deep sinkhole that was hidden beneath several feet of snow. Already successfully across, Host Chris Keefer films with his GoPro Hero2 from the other side as the production team has a difficult time making it across.
With over 25k in equipment on his back in his Lowe Pro Pack, Jason throws his Canon 5DM2 to Chris seconds before the saddle bag fills with water and ruins the camera. Jamieson comes to the rescue of Jason’s horse Casper, as he squats her out of the mud…with an 8k camera around his shoulder and in his pack. For two days after this clip, Jamieson urinated blood from an internal stomach tear which occurred during the rescue of Casper.
