I have very little exposure to hunting and even less exposure to hunting videos, but from the little I know, the vast majority of hunting videos emphasize the hunt (and rightly so) but fail at doing justice to other aspects: the beautiful and rugged landscape, the good times at camp, the solitude, the hiking and packing out of meat, in our case the boat ride, and just the feeling of being in the open country that draws us back season after season.

Thus, I specifically picked music that would best evoke that innate reason of why we hunt. I knew with this trip that this would probably be the only time I will ever get to hunt caribou and be in the North Slope, so I was determined to capture this other aspect of hunting that is often unwittingly overlooked and under appreciated.

This was not a guided trophy hunt. This was a bunch of everyday guys wanting to have a good time and get meat in the freezer to feed our families. We have wives, kids, jobs, and responsibilities, which will allow average hunter who watches this resonate even more. – Aaron Eveland
