This hunt features Mike Stanton and friends as they search for California bighorn sheep along the adventurous wind of Oregon’s John Day River. Hunting sheep is an experience like no other and one that few hunters are able to partake of. For hunters lucky enough to draw a California Bighorn sheep tag in the John Day river area of Oregon, the trip usually involves floating the river and glassing up the canyon walls in search of a full-curl ram.
Mike Stanton was one of the few fortunate hunters to draw such a tag and brought several close friends and family along to enjoy the experience with him. With his hunting party watching from their camp below, Mike is able to close in on a great ram in this Rogue Wild film about a dream hunt on the John Day river.
