“I was invited to go hunt coyotes on my aunt and uncles ranch in Chugwater Wyoming. My dad and I left the house around 5 a.m and arrived at the ranch around 7 a.m. With a fresh coat of snow and zero wind, the coyote hunting was going to be good. We left the ranch and followed my uncle to feed cows.

We made three stands along the way, luckily the third stand provided two coyotes running into the call. My uncle was able to kill the first coyote below my dad. We retrieved the coyote and feed the cattle. After feeding the cattle we went back to eat lunch and watch some football. After resting for a couple of hours we decided to go make a couple of stands before going home. On our way into the new area we saw mule deer and bunch of cattle. This area was shaping up to be a perfect stand. The first stand was a bust, and we decided to move further down the creek towards the cattle.

After going threw the fist gate I spotted on the hill a coyote trotting threw some brush. Once he disappeared on the other side of the hill, my uncle and I bailed out after him. We climbed the hill and crested over into the next draw. There were some cattle and deer looking up the draw. We knew he was close by; sitting down we made a couple of distress calls and the coyote came back down the draw. However the coyote spotted us and kept running, Rodger barely missed him, but luck would have the coyote survived the ordeal. I hope you enjoyed the film. Please subscribe, like, and share.
