Our attraction to nature begins at an early age with a fascination and appreciation for wildlife. For some, this interest remains constant throughout life. Sportsmen are the one segment of society that are not satisfied just seeing and learning about wildlife in books, on screen, on farms, or in captivity.
This fascination for nature evolved into the need to be personally close to wildlife, and this lead to taking up the pursuit. To get close and be successful on the hunt, sportsmen like no other, became students of game behavior. With such appreciation comes respect, and with respect, ethical decisions come naturally. One ethical decision is to exhaust all options for the recovery of a wounded animal.
