Scientists are reintroducing bighorn sheep into the Santa Catalina Mountains after more than a decade of the last sighting. This conservation project is made possible with the cooperation, planning and hard work of Arizona Game and Fish Department, the Wilderness Society and other groups. The project aims to help restore the species to the area with a goal of raising the population to 100 within the next three years.
