Follow John Royer as he hunts western Pennsylvania in early 1800’s frontier dress. He is trying to portray a western Pa frontiersman from the early 19th century, and has a TVM .50 Cal flintlock muzzleloader made by Matt Avance in hand. John is loaded with 75 grains of 2F GOEX black powder and .015 thickness pillow ticking patch with lead roundball. The gear is a walnut dyed hunting frock with a 100% wool blanket worn as a matchcoat. John kills a deer on film in the late deer hunting season in clarion county Pennsylvania.
